Success With An Exciting New Lure! |
If you're a bass fisherman, Florida bass fishing is the way to go, with largemouth bass sometimes weighing in at 10 lbs. ready to be caught, if you have the right lure. I recently traveled to Lake George, north of Orlando between DeLand and Ocala, for some exciting Florida bass fishing. The 46,000 acre lake is the second largest in Florida, one of the premier largemouth bass fishing lakes. Its clear water allows anglers to sight fish, and as I maneuvered my boat across the lake I was actually able to see largemouth bass swimming beneath me. Of course, I couldn't grab them, so I dropped my line into the water. Fortunately, I was using the new KickTail Lure from NGC Sports (www.scientificfishing.com), an innovative lure that mimics the motion of real fish so live fish lunge after it. The KickTail is based on flutter technology that allows it to swim through the water, with five tail segments that move in an oscillating motion as the lure is pulled through the water. The lure is tournament tested with a triple catch rate that earned a Seal of Approval from North American Fisherman magazine. My goal for the day of Florida bass fishing was realistic. I wanted to catch a half dozen largemouth bass, with at least one of them in the 10 lb. range. Using the KickTail lure, I caught eight in six hours, the largest weighing 11 lbs. As you can see, the KickTail lure didn't just increase my catch, it helped me catch bigger fish. The KickTail lure comes in a variety of colors and is shaped like the threadfin shad, the most prevalent bait fish. Largemouth bass gobble up more threadfin shad than any other bait fish, which makes the KickTail lure idea for Florida bass fishing.
