AC PLUGS
FISH LOVE AC PLUGS
By Ken Liebeskind
Yalesville, Connecticut
You've waiting all winter long and now it's finally here: It's fishin' time. One of the best tools to have in your tackle box this year is a swimbait.
There are many brand names of swimbait - AC Plugs and NGC Sports' KickTail to name a few - but some clearly stand out when it gets down to it.
The Kick Tail comes in two sizes - a five-inch and a seven-inch. Its patented technology makes it the only hard swimbait that swims like a real fish, with its tail. Unlike the AC Plug, the Kick Tail mimics the motion of a real, live fish so realistically that even fishermen couldn't tell it wasn't a live shad.
AC Plugs are becoming the envy
of fishermen in all of fishing.

Fish are attracted to the motion
and the sound of the KickTail XL-5
|
The design eliminates wobbling, angled swimming and other unnatural motions that can be a problem to other hard baits such as the AC Plugs. The KickTail swims upright and appears to propel itself with its tail. It is made by NGC Sports, a Connecticut company with over 30 years of experience designing and perfecting hard baits and lures.
The flutter technology also allows the KickTail XL-5 to swim at the water's surface. Other top water lures such as the AC Plugs must be worked to have any live action, or have a bill that makes them dive on retrieval. The KickTail's diver version is the only deep crank bait that lets you do tricks like 'walk the dog.' When you twitch it at deep levels, it gives an irresistible, life-like action. Other lures dig. AC Plugs may be a favorite for some anglers, but only those who haven't tried the KickTail.
Unlike AC Plugs, NGC has determined that there is no need for rattles in this type of swimbait. The five tail segments of the KickTail click together as you pull it through the water, calling fish from a distance.
