Many anglers praise the bass spinner bait for its versatility. It started out as a long wired blade that was meant for muddy water, but now there are three main types of blades and many different styles that work well in a variety of bass fishing conditions.
There are long and short wired bass spinner bait styles and Willow, Colorado and Indiana blades. Willow blades are long and slender and give off maximum flash. Colorado gives off more vibration but less flash. Indiana blades are a cross between the other two.

The bass spinner bait works well in spring when the bass are moving into shallow water to spawn. You can slow-roll the bass spinner bait and let it sink to the bottom and reel it in just fast enough to turn the blades.
In the summer when bass are in deep structure areas or shallow heavy cover, the bass spinner bait can be flipped or pitched to catch large and smallmouth bass.
