ONE OF MY BEST FISHING TIPS IS TO USE PLASTIC WORMS

By Ken Liebeskind

When it comes to best fishing tips, the best fishing lures are the most prized topic and when I'm fishing for bass, I prefer plastic worms, which come in a variety of colors that work well in different water conditions.

I'll tell you about my favorite worm lure in a minute but first let's discuss my plastic worm best fishing tips strategy. Make sure to cast your bait in the areas bass like to hang out, around tree stumps, fallen logs, reeds and shore ledges. Work the worm on the bottom and reel it in very slowly. When you feel a tap, point your rod down and take up the slack. When the bass tightens the line, set the hook.

Some additional best fishing tips for plastic worms are to rig them in one of these ways: Texas rig, Carolina rig, floating rig and swimming rig. According to my best fishing tips, the Texas rig is the best one to use.

Swimbaits

This fishing worm has constant curling
action that drives the fish crazy.

Start by placing a bullet weight on the line above the worm hook. Then slide the weight freely on the line and impale the tip of the hook in the body of the worm so it's weedless. Cast the worm and let it fall to the bottom. Then reel up the slack line and give the tip a twitch. You should get a strike, but if it doesn't work, my best fishing tips tell you to slowly hop the worm along the bottom.

Now that you've read my plastic lure best fishing tips, I want to tell you about the best plastic worm to use. It's the Walking Worm from www.scientificfishing.com, the scientifically designed lure that traps air between tail segments, which causes the lure to curl left and right like a live worm.

....The Walking Worm can be Texas rigged, so I've used it many times. In fact I've caught trophy bass that go down in my personal record book, including one that weighed 15 pounds. I caught that monster in a murky creek in the Carolina mountains, a great place for bass fishing.

My best fishing tips also include using bright color lures in murky water and the Walking Worm comes in a variety of tantalizing colors, including chartreuse and green pumpkin seed. I used the green pumpkin lure to catch my trophy bass. It really worked great.
