These two innovations associated with vintage creek chub lures revolutionized the lure's ability to catch fish by realistically depicting a moving fish. The lures were also artistic creations, with colorful paint jobs illuminating the small minnow lures that were originally made of wood. One of the best known vintage creek chub lures is a wooden plug painted in a two-town design called the wedding veil in deep moss green to simulate fish scales.
Another of the vintage creek chub lures is an injured minnow that is painted bright red to simulate a bleeding prey. The modern version of this idea is the Bite Light lure from http://www.scientificfishing.com, an electronic lure that blinks blood red when it's submerged in water to look like a bleeding fish, which prompts predator fish to bite. The battery powered electrical system behind the Bite Light lure is a prime example of the modern technology NGC Sports uses in the scientifically designed lures it is famous for.
